Advantages of GoblinX LiveCD

The GoblinX LiveCD is not like other around the world, it has advantages and we secure you will enjoy it, you are going to have fun and become another fan.

The GoblinX has support for FIVE different languages such as french, portuguese, spanish, deutsch and english directly included to the livecd, and those languages are very easy to be set, you just need to type a single word at the boot prompt. The other languages you can download and enable.

It employs a modular system that allows YOU to add applications to the liveCD while using it or by building the ISO file. These modules can be created by you with the tools included.

All you need is a bootable CD-ROM drive and GoblinX CDROM. GoblinX will run on your computer of the CD using on-the-fly decompression, and you can enable or disable features by adding kernel parameters to the system, a.k.a. "cheatcodes".

You can carry your favorite system around the world, to every place you like, because distributions in live-cd bootable format allow the user to take its own operational system to all places. You will be able to carry and use it in any computer, either in house, school, workstation or friends.

You can count on quality works, beautiful graphics and artistic features, since the beginning of the boot which employs a graphical boot called bootsplash, and if you wish to see the inner workings messages of the kernel (system) while is booting just press F2, and the boot messages will be displayed.

It has its own repository where you will be able to find and install thousands of applications by using Slapt-get or Gsplat, and all packages dependencies are also checked and installed.

It includes a set of graphical interfaces exclusively built to make easy the way to configure and work with the distribution, such as for example, a set of interfaces to control, mount and acess media devices like usb pendrives and cdroms.

The GoblinX Premium

The GoblinX Premium 2008.1 is our special edition created to be the main operating system of the goblin fan, our O.S. Replacement. The edition is indicated to the goblin around the world who wishes to use the distro as an installed system because it contains a very large source of applications and features.

The GoblinX Mini

The GoblinX Mini Edition is the son of GoblinX Standard and contains only XFCE as windows manager and GTK/GTK2 based applications. The edition is indicated for those users whose want to remaster the distro and also those with difficulties to download more than three hundreds of megabytes.
