Second Generation Changelog

The second series of GoblinX started with the release of GoblinX Premium 2007.1 and continued with releases of GoblinX Mini 2.0.0 and GoblinX 2.0.
Now the current release is GoblinX 2.6.

Upgraded all packages. Upgraded Kernel (2.6.24.3), AuFS, Linux live and Squashfs. Added Bookmarks to GoblinX Panel. Added extra folders to be used as package repository. Added media package repository to Slapt-getrc. Added package upgrade check to Xfce panel with Xfce4-smartpm-plugin. Added interface to build module with Slapt-get help. Added initrd.img to be used by Suspend/Hibernate after install. Added Isolinux option to not load costumization during boot. Moved z.User and i18n internationalization modules to /optional directory. Rebuilt GoblinX harddisk installer to make it simple. Rebuilt the media manager. Added more graphical interfaces. Corrected and upgraded some scripts. Compiz and Mesa are included in a separeted module. Added Slax(Tomas) firewall. Added more options to Isolinux menu . Rebuilt Gtkdialog interfaces to not allow resize action. Corrected few errors and bugs. Corrected Kill button in media manager interfaces. Corrected some Sudo issues. Removed Xorg default resolution.

Next Release following Premium 2007.1

Added AuFS and removed UnionFS. Added SquashFS 3.0. Added Software Master, a package/application control software. Rebuilt Magic Center to add new features and to use with different windows managers. Rebuilt GoblinX harddisk installer and several graphical interfaces. Added gtkConvert, gtkImods, gtkSource, gtkDSL and more graphical interfaces. Upgraded USB device Manager and added CD/DVD Device Manager. Removed Kommander and changed interfaces to use Gtkdialog. Added Zenity as default instead of Xdialog. Rebuilt packages from source and added slack-required to easily upgrade them. Created own repository fuly integrated to Slapt-get to easily upgrade and install packages and check dependencies. Changed base name to core and also other modules names. Removed Nvidia and Fglrx non-GPL drivers. Corrected and upgraded some scripts. Upgraded linux live. Upgrade several packages and also kernel (2.6.18). Changed user autologin, now an added user can login without gdm. Added from, ramsize and noauto cheatcodes. Set tmpfs size to 60% of RAM memory, you can use ramsize cheatcode to change it. Upgraded liveupgrade and added new features.

Modules Changelog

All Modules for the second generation are new, rebuilt to use SquashFS 3.0 and will NOT work with older GoblinX releases.

The current repository is upgraded to match Slackware current, gcc4 and all packages are new.  Everything is rebuilt to gcc4 and the packages are from Slackware current and GoblinX Mini 2.7.
