G:Noblin

The G:Noblin is the GoblinX Gnome and GTK/GTK2 based distribution. The edition is ideal for those users whose are fan of the Gnome desktop environment. This distribution is an old desire of GoblinX users and brings back the Gnome to a Slackware based distribution.

The GNOME desktop environment is an intuitive and attractive desktop for users. GNOME understands that usability is about creating software that is easy for everyone to use, not about piling on features. GNOME’s community of professional and volunteer usability experts have created Free Software’s first and only Human Interface Guidelines, and all core GNOME software is adopting these principles.

The G:Noblin brings to you two kinds of desktop environment inside the same ISO (cdrom). The first is the default Gnome desktop and the second is a special prepared interface for Netbooks, using the ideas similar to Ubuntu Mobile.

The G:Noblin is fully compatible with any other GoblinX Project distributions and uses the same repository. You will be able to install more than a thousand applications and libraries even by starting with this small distribution.
