G:Standard

The g:Standard is the original edition first released in the end of October 2004. In the past it was called as GoblinX and later as GoblinX Standard. In order to dismiss doubt about the releases and follow the same criteria used for all dsitributions (editions) of the GoblinX Project it became simply g:Standard.

The g:Standard has support for FIVE different languages such as french, portuguese, spanish, deutsch and english directly included on the livecd, and those languages are very easy to set, you just need to type a single word at the boot prompt. The other languages you can download and enable.

It includes five windows managers and/or desktop environments such as KDE, Fluxbox, Enlightenment, Xfce and WindowMaker. KDE and Xfce are more suitable for beginners, and Fluxbox or WindowMaker, both very light windows managers, are best suited for old computers.

The g:Standard is fully compatible with any other GoblinX Project distributions and uses the same repository. You will be able to install more than a thousand applications and libraries just by starting with this small distribution.
